The SturNet training series concluded with two sessions for fishing communities in Komluka and Sarafovo, Burgas. Fishers shared experience and explored digital tools for sturgeon conservation.
On 22 October 2026, the final two SturNet training sessions for members of the fishing community took place in Komluka and Sarafovo, Burgas, Bulgaria. They concluded the series organised by the Protection of Biodiversity in Bulgaria Foundation with the assistance of OPIMOS Association.
Both sessions attracted strong interest and active participation from local fishers. Participants shared their practical experience and discussed important issues related to sturgeon conservation in the Black Sea.
The sessions introduced SturNet’s digital tools and the opportunities they offer for submitting reports, exchanging information and taking joint action to protect these endangered species. We thank all participants for their interest, active participation and valuable exchange of experience.
