Two SturNet training sessions in Primorsko and Sozopol engaged local fishing communities in discussions on sturgeon conservation and introduced digital tools for reporting and information exchange.
On 21 October 2026, SturNet training sessions for members of the fishing community took place in Primorsko and Sozopol, Bulgaria. The events formed part of the training series organised by the Protection of Biodiversity in Bulgaria Foundation with the assistance of OPIMOS Association.
Both sessions attracted strong interest and active participation from local fishers. Participants shared their practical experience and discussed important issues related to sturgeon conservation in the Black Sea.
The sessions introduced SturNet’s digital tools and the opportunities they offer for submitting reports, exchanging information and taking joint action to protect these endangered species. We thank all participants for their interest, active participation and valuable exchange of experience.
