Description: The present recommendation establishes measures for fishing operations of sturgeons (Acipenseridae) in the Black Sea (geographical subarea 29) during the marine part of their life cycle. 2. The general objective of the present recommendation is to contribute to the conservation of sturgeons (Acipenseridae) at the regional level, complementing national and supranational measures in place. 3. Contracting parties and cooperating non-contracting parties (CPCs) fishing for commercial or recreational purposes in the Black Sea agree to implement such measures for any fisheries related directly or indirectly to sturgeons, in accordance with the objectives set by this recommendation
